Well, guess who's turning 10? The Hotel San Jose, Liz Lambert's original hotel, celebrates a decade this Sunday, March 14 at 7pm. Just in time for SXSW (and spring break) the hotel will screen "The Last Days of the San Jose" Lambert's documentary following the amazing Lake/Flato transformation of everyone's favorite Texas bungalow hotel. Before HSJ was acquired by Lambert, SoCo wasn't exactly a savory location and her foresight led the way to transform the area.
Give a click here for the interview I did with Lambert for Texas Monthly's August '09 issue. She's whip smart and one of the most compelling people I've ever encountered. She's a lawyer by trade, her brother owns go-to BBQ spot Lamberts, Jo's Coffee is named for her mother, and she was a Pi Beta Phi at TCU. And give another click here to acquaint yourself with her partner, Amy Cook's music. Photos from Lake/Flato
