Dallas: The Park

Is anyone else falling in deep love with downtown Dallas again? It's such a remarkable time to live here. Henderson Avenue and East Dallas are becoming the places to be - no one would have even imagined that 15 years ago. Thanks goes to Tristan Simon - The Performing Arts Center has wowed everyone with its Pritzker architect-designed buildings, and The Park is just on the horizon. Here are a few renderings of the 5-acre park deck that's being built over Woodall Rodgers. See that green space right below? It will connect downtown, specifically the Arts District (on the left), to Uptown.
There will be green space combined with trails, a huge children's area with sandboxes and a storytelling deck, fountains, a dog park, and a restaurant. It will make Dallas more of walking city, one of the biggest factors in making it feel more cohesive. Wouldn't it rock your world if Pearl Cup opened a location there?
The view above is looking southeast from Uptown. The beacon of red is the Winspear Opear House.
