Austin: Justine's 1937

The last few times I've spoken to my friend Elaine she's told me about Justine's 1937, a fabulous little French restaurant on the east, east side of Austin. It's a bit off the beaten track and that's part of the charm of it all. Well, that and the glorious food. It's been written about a ton, but I feel like I must make mention of it for those of you who aren't in Austin to read the Chronicle or any of the other local pubs. It's cozy and bustling with people and if you're in the mood for a heap of classic steak tartare, soup de ardennes (everyone loves a good potato leek soup), filet de poisson, or steak frites, promise that you'll try it, mkay?
