Calvert: Cocoamoda

PaperCity's Brooke Hortenstine recently told me about Cocoamoda, a phenom chocolate shop and restaurant in historic Calvert, about 45 minutes north of College Station.
Folks driving through and those lucky enough to actually live in Calvert stop in for decadent truffles, candied fruit dipped in chocolate, and for breakfast and lunch. The menu sounds mouthwatering. Think classic French in a casual setting - omelette aux herbs, brioche with apricot confiture, pate with crouton and orange sauce, croque monsieur, belgian endive salad.
I adore the simple and chic packaging for the confections. But more important are the ingredients that English owner and patisseur Ken Wilkinson imports for his goods: pistachios from Iran, almonds from Spain, Valrhona from France, and Swiss frais de bois.

Want to make my way there soon, don't you?
